On May 8th, the Belgrano Day School Auditorium became a space of gathering, joy, and memory to celebrate the Kinder Community Celebration 2026. With families, ESSARP authorities, CONICET researchers, and directors from all sections in attendance, the Early Years honored its traditions under the motto “Play the Game” and the spirit of Fac Recte.
A bridge to our identity
The celebration was built on the premise of evoking shared history to strengthen the present. In this sense, the morning was organized around the idea of community as a solid bridge, built on the pillars of Fac Recte and the fair-play spirit of “Play the Game.” As Estela Fothy, Head of Kinder, noted during the opening remarks, the purpose of this gathering is to remember, since, in essence, it is about “bringing back to heart those elements, values, and symbols that make up our institutional identity.”
This sense of belonging became tangible through the “Legacy Desk,” a historic school desk that served as the thread running through the morning. This silent witness to generations of students set the stage for a musical bingo that traveled through more than three decades of Kinder productions. Families relived shared moments through the soundtracks of iconic Kinder Plays, from the classics of the 1990s to the most recent productions.
The strategic value of play
For Belgrano Day School, the Early Years represent much more than an early schooling stage; it is a crucial space for development where play becomes the primary learning tool. The morning highlighted the importance of building a “safe base where curiosity and interest in learning are possible,” integrating neurodevelopmental stimulation with an environment of emotional containment and attachment.
The event also featured contributions from the Primary and Middle & Senior Captains, who shared their experiences, as well as the testimony of Violeta Carballo, a 1977 alumna, reinforcing the idea that the path that begins in Kinder leaves a lifelong mark.
The morning concluded with the Auditorium singing the School Song and the traditional Goodbye Song, celebrating the joy of being part of a community that grows together, side by side, year after year.
