One of the most special moments of our Book Fair was the 9th edition of the Poetry Recital starring P4 students, who delighted the audience with a beautiful repertoire in both English and Spanish. This event, streamed online for the entire community, reflects the deep work carried out during reading hours at the BDS Library and represents a project that allows students to discover the world of poetry in a unique and genuine way.
This year’s theme and inspiration invited us to dive in: sharing poetry like someone venturing into unknown waters. Through shared reading, the children gradually uncovered the secrets held within literary depths.
At the end of this journey of exploration, the big question arose of what poetry truly is, and the students showed that the best answer lies in the poems themselves. In doing so, they understood—and taught us—that there is no single, exact definition, since poetry is precisely everything we are capable of imagining once we stop searching for just one answer.
The recital was warmly supported by P3 students, who attended as a live audience—a detail that reaffirms the sense of community driving our fair.
