As with any great journey, the most important thing is not the destination, but how we are transformed along the way. True to this premise, our P6 students had an unforgettable experience starring in Road to Wishes, his own adaptation of the classic The Wizard of Oz, marking with this grand performance the long-awaited end of his time at Primary.

Theatre as a space of transformation
Staging a production of this magnitude is much more than learning lines and coordinating choreography. As the director of the production shared, Rosario WhoreThis project accompanied the children at a pivotal moment in their school lives.
While Dorothy traveled down the yellow brick road in search of answers, our P6 students were on their own journey of growth. Rehearsal after rehearsal, they learned to trust themselves and discovered all they are capable of achieving when working as a team. Theater has that special magic: it invites us to listen, to wait for others, to dare to try, to make mistakes and start again. During these months of preparation, we witnessed how each student found their place, how the characters came to life, and how the group solidified into a true ensemble.

A message that transcends the stage
Road to Wishes tells the story of Dorothy and her endearing friends —the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion—, who are looking for a great wizard to grant them what they believe they lack: intelligence, heart and courage.
However, the central message of the work, conveyed with great sensitivity by the students, remains as relevant as ever: we often believe that what we seek is far away, when in reality it has always been within us. We don’t need the magic of a great Magician to find our place in the world; sometimes it’s enough to dare to take the first step and trust in our own talent.
And, of course, just like Dorothy, we reaffirm that ‘there’s no place like home’: that space that we build every day at Belgrano Day School so that our students can grow, express themselves and discover their full potential.

The value of working in the community
A project of this magnitude is the result of the effort, dedication, and commitment of our entire community. We want to express our immense gratitude to the families of P6, not only for their unwavering support and encouragement, but also for their willingness and collaboration throughout the various stages of this production. Every contribution was essential to the project’s success.
We extend this great recognition to the team that guided the boys on this adventure: Rosario Whore (Director), Carina Cristina (Musical Director) and Peace, Lucas (Assistant Director). We also extend our deepest gratitude to all the school teams, Primary teachers, and Middle & Senior students who contributed their talent, time, and valuable behind-the-scenes help.
Congratulations to all of P6 for giving us this wonderful tradition that continues to thrill us!
