With great enthusiasm and a commitment to supporting children from their very first steps, Belgrano Day School announces the opening of its new 1-Year-Old Classroom (K1) in Kinder starting in the 2026 school year.
This new addition is part of the school’s institutional mission to provide a caring, well-rounded, bilingual education from early childhood on, and responds to the wish of many families to begin their child’s school journey in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
A caring, nurturing, bilingual environment from the start
The new 1-Year-Old Classroom aims to offer a pedagogically intentional learning space that fosters trust and a sense of security. The program is centered on motor, cognitive, social, expressive, and emotional development, through experiences that encourage independence, curiosity, and active exploration.
In addition, bilingualism and the development of oral language are introduced from this very first stage, as an opportunity to expand children’s language skills and open new windows to the world.
Pedagogical approach: a well-rounded proposal
The K1 program is based on the Experience Areas of the City of Buenos Aires Curricular Design and on the principles of the Montessori method, combining free and guided play, expression through multiple languages, and exploration of the environment.
The focus is on building identity, physical development, and interaction with others, always within an environment that promotes wellbeing and respect for each child’s own pace.
As part of the Kinder program, families will be able to choose the extended day option, which includes afternoon Workshops: artistic, literary, and playful activities specially designed for young children.
The opening of the 1-Year-Old Classroom represents another step forward for Belgrano Day School on its path of providing an education grounded in pedagogical innovation, tradition, and human warmth, to support children right from the start of their school journey.
