The cultural and sports tour to the United Kingdom organized by the Belgrano Day School‘s Physical Education department was much more than a trip: it was an opportunity for our S5 and S6 students (S4 and S5 in 2024) to have enriching experiences they surely won’t forget.
During their 19-day journey through Cardiff, York, Edinburgh, Loughborough, and London, Belgrano Day School Middle & Senior students took part in sports fixtures against local teams, explored historic sites, met people from another culture, and deepened their immersion in English.
Sport as a driver of integration
The sports schedule included four matches and four training sessions per discipline (boys’ rugby and volleyball, girls’ hockey and volleyball) and per team, allowing students to challenge themselves in a new competitive setting and strengthen teamwork. The teams faced various UK institutions, fostering camaraderie and learning in an international environment.

A journey of learning and discovery
Each city visited offered unforgettable experiences: from the medieval history of York to the imposing architecture of Edinburgh, and on to the vibrant energy of London. Students explored iconic sites and discovered British traditions firsthand, broadening their cultural perspective.
Personal growth and living together
In addition to the sporting and academic side, the Tour fostered independence, a sense of belonging, and group integration among students from different year groups. Living together in an international setting strengthened social-emotional skills, such as adapting to new cultures and making decisions as a group.
The UK Tour 2025 left each student with unforgettable memories and lessons that will stay with them well beyond the classroom and the playing field.
