The TED-Ed Project 2024 gave five Middle & Senior School students at Belgrano Day School the opportunity to explore and share their ideas in a meaningful and creative way.

Delfina Augeri, Augusto Marín, Belén Jauregualzo, Pilar Echeverría, and Ainhoa Arean Marra took the stage to authentically and passionately share ideas they care deeply about or meaningful personal experiences from their lives.
Coordinated by teachers Agustina Papú and Claudia Gelonch, the initiative provided participants with a unique platform to develop public speaking, effective communication, and critical thinking skills, using the TED format as its foundation.
A Project of Creation and Reflection
Throughout the school year, students participated in a structured process based on three key stages: Inspire, Build, and Communicate. During the first stage, participants engaged in deep reflection on topics they were passionate about and believed were worth sharing with the community. The goal was to discover a unique idea—something that truly motivated them and could connect with an audience through the power of public speaking.
The focus was not only academic but also deeply personal. Students explored topics that inspired or concerned them as teenagers, asking meaningful questions and encouraging reflection. The Challenges of Perfectionism (Delfina Augeri); What Is Time Well Spent? (Augusto Marín); Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone (Belén Jaureguialzo); Learning to Enjoy the Present Moment (Pilar Echeverría); and Everyone Shines in Their Own Way (Ainhoa Arean Marra) were the titles of the talks through which they shared their thoughts in an authentic and personal way.
Developing Essential Skills
During the second stage, participants focused on building their talks. This phase was essential in helping students learn how to structure their message clearly and effectively. Public speaking, persuasive storytelling, and the effective use of visual resources were among the key areas of emphasis.
Preparing a TED Talk also involves learning how to manage the anxiety associated with public speaking. For this reason, students worked on strategies to overcome the fears commonly linked to speaking in front of an audience.
The Final Event
The final event, where students delivered their TED-style talks, marked the culmination of the project. Each presentation, lasting between three and six minutes, gave students the opportunity to share their ideas, reflections, and perspectives on a variety of current topics. Peer feedback was one of the most valuable aspects of the experience, helping students refine their ideas and improve their presentations.
The TED-Ed Project 2024 is a clear example of how educational experiences can inspire young people to take an active role in shaping their future while contributing their unique voices to the global conversation.
