A recognition of the commitment and autonomy with which students build their own learning journey.

On Friday, April 17, we gathered in the School Auditorium to celebrate one of the most significant milestones of the academic year: the Cambridge International Examinations Certificate Ceremony. It was an opportunity to recognize the dedication our students demonstrated in their Primary Checkpoint, IGCSE, ICE, and AS & A Level examinations, but above all, to celebrate who they have become through these challenges.
Taking ownership of their own learning
At Belgrano Day School, we encourage every student to take ownership of their learning journey. Achieving these internationally recognized certifications requires much more than mastering academic content; it demands personal maturity. During the ceremony, Enzo Speranza, Head of M&S, highlighted this idea by saying: “The greatest impact on students’ learning happens when they become their own teachers.”
To reach these milestones, our students demonstrated perseverance and exceptional self-management skills in organizing their time. As Enzo also noted, “Perseverance is choosing to keep going when things become difficult, when answers are not immediate, and when progress requires patience. It is, perhaps, one of the most powerful habits our students develop.”

Equipping students for a borderless world
This bilingual mindset our students demonstrate today goes far beyond language proficiency; it reflects an open-minded approach to engaging with the world. By receiving their certificates, they reaffirm that they have the skills and confidence to thrive in any global environment.
The ceremony celebrated every stage of this journey: from our youngest learners, who are just beginning to discover their strengths, to our Old Fac Recteans, who returned to the School to receive their advanced-level certificates before continuing their paths in higher education and the professional world.
We congratulate each and every one of our students. Witnessing their growth and the commitment with which they embrace every challenge inspires us to continue supporting them as they build their future.
