On February 22, we celebrated the 114th anniversary of Belgrano Day School. The vision that John Ernest Green began to bring to life in 1912 has evolved into what we are today: an internationally recognized institution that, true to its essence, continues to pursue innovation and excellence under the motto that defines us: Fac Recte.
The Origins of Our Community
Every great story has a humble beginning. In those early days of 1912, Mr. Green welcomed the two students who inaugurated this project: Ronald James and Ernest Perkins. That act of trust from their families became the foundation of a journey that today is shared by thousands of families in the education of their children.
Values That Stand the Test of Time
Despite the natural changes that come with more than a century of history, the defining attributes of Belgrano Day School remain unchanged. We are distinguished by our commitment to educating students in values so they may live with integrity and purpose, our dedication to bilingual education, and our focus on the holistic well-being of every learner. We encourage every student to learn how to learn, laying the foundation for lifelong autonomy.
At the same time, the challenge of educating in today’s world inspires us to embrace a moonshot mindset: the ability to unlearn and relearn in order to provide a truly learner-centered experience, where the educational system is intentionally designed around each learner with flexibility and purpose.

Milestones such as the opening of K1, marking the beginning of our educational journey from early childhood, and our recent authorization as an IB World School, reflect an institutional culture that fosters digital citizenship and a global mindset.
