At Belgrano Day School, our strategic Research & Development area is dedicated to anticipating the future of education. We act as a space for exploration and innovation, where we merge pedagogy, technology, and institutional innovation to explore new learning models and prepare our students for an ever-changing world. Our work goes beyond traditional schooling, creating flexible, personalized learning experiences with an international perspective.
We believe that by anticipating change and preparing for what’s next, we ensure the school stays relevant and continues to evolve. While our focus is on the future, many of our explorations translate into tangible innovations that enrich the educational experience of our students today.
Our Approach
Our work is based on two complementary paths of educational transformation:
Innovation from Within
We’re going beyond the boundaries of the traditional school model to incorporate more personalized and flexible learning. This includes strategies like our Virtual Learning Lab, the Dual Diploma, university credit programs, blockchain certifications, and the use of cutting-edge platforms like Century.
Development of Alternative Models
We’re designing entirely new educational frameworks. For example, we’re currently developing virtual secondary school models to offer comprehensive, personalized, and internationally-focused alternatives that expand our educational ecosystem without replacing in-person schooling.
This vision of continuous transformation was initiated by our CEO, Dr. Alberto Taquini, who for over 25 years has promoted a pedagogical approach centered on critical thinking, autonomous learning, and interdisciplinary work. Our R&D area is the natural evolution of this pioneering vision, continuing the research, prototyping, and implementation of ideas that benefit our entire community.
